Chalcedony

Chalcedony is a member of the quartz family, a transparent to opaque stone, with a waxy lustre, coloured by traces of copper, manganese, titanium and iron. It is a demure crystal, subtle, mystic, calming, soothing and nurturing. The ancient civilizations of Egypt and Greece used this stone in jewellery and carvings, as they believed the stone to possess special powers.

Also known as the ‘Speaker’s Stone’ chalcedony is used to assist communication and fear of public speaking. It is thought to help connect to the subconscious, stimulate telepathy skills and enhance communications with the higher, invisible realms. Alleviating self-doubt and bringing peace to inner reflection, chalcedony helps calm panic, anxiety and fear.
